In March 2025, the year-on-year (y-o-y) inflation rate in Madiun Municipality was 0,20 percent, with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 106,33.

The year-on-year inflation occurred due to price increases indicated by the rise in several expenditure group indices, namely: the food, beverages, and tobacco group by 0.54 percent; the clothing and footwear group by 2.10 percent; the household equipment, appliances, and routine maintenance group by 0.27 percent; the health group by 3.62 percent; the transportation group by 1.63 percent; the information, communication, and financial services group by 0.15 percent; the education group by 0.83 percent; the food and beverage provision/restaurants group by 2.37 percent; and the personal care and other services group by 4.54 percent. Meanwhile, there were two groups that experienced deflation: the housing, water, electricity, and household fuel group by 6.53 percent, and the recreation, sports, and culture group by 0.26 percent.
